The deep state proves to be more than just a conspiracy - former CIA director John Brennan conducted a ploy to strike fear of Russian involvement in the presidential election of 2016 - there were operatives contacted by Brennan over 17 organizations to plant the farce of Russian coalition.
Over the course of the 2016 election, Trump repeatedly praised WikiLeaks when the exposal of Clinton's corruption. Yet, now that Trump has been elected he claims that he "knows nothing about Wikileaks" (RonPaulInstitute)1
Now, that does sound very contradictory towards his previous campaign statements, yet he does admit that this level of debate is not under his discretion and that Assange's judgement will be left to the attorney general (TheGuardian)2.
With the current state of affairs with Julian Assange, he is being tried by the United States for the highest threat of national security while being held in London.
There has been a hidden history between WikiLeaks and Donald Trump Jr. upon twitter, WikiLeaks has on several occasions contacted Trump Jr. through direct messaging - the release of DNC emails, including statements made by Clinton requesting to just "drone him," referring to Assange (Ioffe)3. Trump Jr. released the link on twitter and promoted WikiLeaks, where Wikileaks in return thanked him and Trump for promoting their organization.
After months of communication, things in the Wikileaks and Trump Jr. relationship came to a halt when Wikileaks direct messaged Trump Jr. with a bold request - to release a small portion of his fathers tax returns.
"WikiLeaks then laid out three reasons why this would benefit both the Trumps and WikiLeaks. 'One, The New York Times had already published a fragment of Trump’s tax returns on October 1; two, the rest could come out any time “through the most biased source (e.g. NYT/MSNBC).' It is the third reason, though, WikiLeaks wrote, that “is the real kicker.” “If we publish them it will dramatically improve the perception of our impartiality,” WikiLeaks explained. “That means that the vast amount of stuff that we are publishing on Clinton will have much higher impact, because it won’t be perceived as coming from a ‘pro-Trump’ ‘pro-Russia’ source.” It then provided an email address and link where the Trump campaign could send the tax returns, and adds, “The same for any other negative stuff (documents, recordings) that you think has a decent chance of coming out. Let us put it out.” 3
Trump Jr. ceased responding to the organization after these messages.
There is a deeper sense of state when Trump felt threatened; with WikiLeaks openly and boldly requestion for his tax returns, Trump began to steer away from WikiLeaks and choosing not to associate with the group any longer.
Assange faces trials against all odds - one man against the powerhouse of the world.
