My Top News Sources

When I wake up in the morning, there is a whole world of news waiting for me; with so many outlets to follow, I have my mind narrowed to a select few. There are different news sources which are easily accessible at my disposal, and each are relevant in measure, but each has their own place upon circumstance and levels of importance.

In comparison to other news sources, I find that Stay Tuned on Snapchat is the most accessible and versatile resource to find my news. The information is broken into quick, ten second information jabs that cover large scale hard news to softer updates about global, national and sometimes local occurrences. This is the easiest and fastest way to find a lot of information in a short period of time. Although you may feel as if this is a wonderful way to collect news, it is just as much of importance to make the effort to dive into a deeper understanding of what is being reported by actual journalists.

When the instance of searching for more information, I find myself going online and FOX NEWS or CNN. Though it is well known that each network uphold their own beliefs and political agendas, I have learned it is best to gather as much information as possible from several sources (one source may have information that another chose to leave out, vice versa). It is also a good habit to stay politically aware; as I mentioned before, each news network has their own political agenda and will report stories in a manner which benefits its audience. For instance, in the unfathomable reality where there may be a shooting, one source may cover the immediate need for gun control and firearm policies, the opposing source could write upon the concurrent necessity of mental health awareness and treatment. It is a healthy habit to study both sides of the spectrum so you, as a healthy and active American, can deem your own beliefs and own choices through your own research and not by the influence and bias of those paid to convince you one way or another.

With the abundance controversy in our society, it is also a healthy step to choose to read a source which holds a balanced, factual grip upon new occurrences. Although you can always find some leniency with views, since humans by our nature choose a viewpoint to believe and stand up for, I find that reading either The New York Times or The Wall Street Journal are two highly prestigious sources of information which elaborately relay the news in professional and sophisticated manner.

Every news source has its place in our world, and I believe each are acceptable for any time and place, yet I view that some are more accessible and reasonable per your circumstances; whether for leisure or for research, all news belongs.

Muzzled Beliefs in a Muzzled Society

B y David Kleinschuster Q News   2020. A year of chaos, conflict and controversy actively separates our nation, our communities and our families. Stares of death seep from wide pupils and furrowed brows towards once friends to now enemies in the streets and supermarket. What could cause such division and frustration in just under a year? Masks. There are several sides to take in your stance of the virus, but two major belief systems are fueling such controversy during the COVID-19 pandemic. Pro-maskers versus anti-maskers. Though there is only a percentage of Americans who truly are anti-maskers – those who refuse to wear one at all times and all circumstances – majority of people who are deemed as ‘anti-maskers’ will wear a mask in stores or in areas which mandate it (else they receive an invitation for removal) and keep their faces free at all times where it is not mandated. On the other side of the spectrum, there are those who wear masks in every aspe...

The Deep State of Affairs

The deep state proves to be more than just a conspiracy - former CIA director John Brennan conducted a ploy to strike fear of Russian involvement in the presidential election of 2016 - there were operatives contacted by Brennan over 17 organizations to plant the farce of Russian coalition. Over the course of the 2016 election, Trump repeatedly praised WikiLeaks when the exposal of Clinton's corruption. Yet, now that Trump has been elected he claims that he "knows nothing about Wikileaks" (RonPaulInstitute) 1 Now, that does sound very contradictory towards his previous campaign statements, yet he does admit that this level of debate is not under his discretion and that Assange's judgement will be left to the attorney general (TheGuardian) 2 . With the current state of affairs with Julian Assange, he is being tried by the United States for the highest threat of national security while being held in London. There has been a hidden history between WikiLeaks and Do...
